Winner of Heidi & Frank Worst Tattoo Contest Gets Tattoo Removed at Dr. Tattoff Orange County

Curtis Brown visits Dr. Tattoff Orange County for tattoo removalCurtis Brown has an awful tattoo he’s finally getting removed after winning a contest with Heidi and Frank on Los Angeles radio station KLOS 95.5 for “Worst Tattoo.”

His tattoo is the result of an idea he and his older brother had to form a business when he was 15 years old and a massive stoner. They founded the organization, called Freedom Fighter, to protect people with non-violent marijuana offenses. The tattoo is actually the logo for the organization (we’d hate to see the letterhead!). Curtis and his brother lost their other brother who at one point had been incarcerated for marijuana possession. When he passed away, they developed the company in his memory.

Curtis is now removing the tattoo due to a rift with his brother (they haven’t spoken for 3 years) and the fact that he’s no longer a pothead. He’s given weed up completely, although he is quick to mention that he still believes in legalization. His tattoo is very amateur (it was done in a garage), although when he was 15 he thought he was the coolest kid at his high school because of it. Now 23, he’s well-aware that the art is, well, not even really art. He plans to get another tattoo in its place eventually.Memorial Tattoo

Curtis’ terrible tattoo is another reminder that it’s best to wait until you’re older to get a tattoo and do your research. We don’t understand what the hurry is to get a tattoo when there are so many stories out there about bad ones that people regret.

It will take about 14 treatments to completely remove his tattoo, which means he’ll be coming to Dr. Tattoff for at least a year-and-a-half. Curtis may decide before that whether he wants a cover-up, in which case he’ll be consulting with an artist on how much fading will be necessary for it.

Here’s a short video of Curtis talking about his tattoo and having his first treatment with NO numbing! As far as we can tell, it didn’t seem to bother him a bit. When it was all done, he could barely believe it was over. We practically had to wake him up, proving that welders are tough! So ladies, if you like manly men, don’t let Curtis’ gentle demeanor and smile fool you. He’s all that and then some!
